DATE, CHOC MACADAMIA BLISS BALLS

balls bliss chocolate dates macadamia Jul 06, 2022

I’m all about the moreish snacks at the moment and these little beauties really hit the spot! You get the delicious natural sweetness of the dates but paired with the healthy fats and protein from the macadamias, as well as the cinnamon, it minimises any spikes in your blood sugar levels. Cacao is a favourite ingredient of mine, not only for the chocolately flavour it provides but for the hit of antioxidants you will get which is great for anti-ageing but also for our gut health. Add some natural protein powder if you wish to make these more of a protein ball.

Makes 12

Ingredients

1 cup pitted medjool date
1 cup macadamias (toasted for extra flavour)
½ cup flaked coconut
2 tablespoon cacao (heaped tablespoons if you want more choc flavour)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Blitz all ingredients in a high speed blender/food processor. Roll in crushed macadamia or dessicated coconut if you wish.
