Why a Detox should be about more food not less!
Detoxification is a very natural and necessary process that is happening within our body every day. In an ideal world, where all we ate was the perfect balance of wholefoods and we weren’t exposed to any toxins, this process would be very efficient.

Now although I am not one to promote diets or labelled eating patterns, I personally do a detox every year and actually look forward to it after Winter because it is honestly like a natural version of a berroca, red bull and expresso martini all mixed into one...you really do feel that energised and amazing afterwards (note: afterwards :P).

Over the past few years the 'clean eating' phenomenon has really taken off and in some cases I'd say it's become more of a fashion statement than a way of life. Don't get me wrong, I love that so many people are embracing healthy eating, but my concern is that while some might be eating healthy, the other habits they have picked up along the way are not!
